The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
