Grief as Popular South African DJ Killed in the Heart of Johannesburg.
A renowned South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the country's largest city Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a country grappling with rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was gunned down in the downtown area on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Officials stated the 40-year-old media personality was accosted by three suspects, one of whom began shooting at him before escaping on foot.
The purpose of the attack has not been established and no one has been arrested are in custody, as per the official statement.

Law enforcement indicated that Stock was targeted as he was leaving a location close to the Carlton Centre.

"The report indicates the man was confronted by three unidentified men after he parked his car, and they shot at him before fleeing the scene on foot," authorities said.
Surveillance tape reportedly captured a suspect with dreadlocked hair and clad in what resembled a security uniform shooting on Stock before making his escape.
The DJ sought to escape after he was hit but fell down a short distance away.
It was further revealed that Stock had an unused firearm and no items were stolen during the attack.
